There will be a special Blessing of Candles and Blessing of Throats on February 2 & 3.
Presentation of the Lord
On Thursday, February 2 we celebrate The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. Traditionally, on this date, candles are blessed for use in the coming year. Parishioners are invited to bring their own candles to be blessed at either the 6:45 or 8:30 a.m. Masses.
The Feast of St. Blaise
On Friday, February 3 we celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise. On this date, we invoke St. Blaise in the blessing of throats, asking him to protect us from ailments of the throat and every other illness. Throats will be blessed immediately following the 6:45 and 8:30 a.m. Masses.
