Inclement Weather

Inclement Weather

Sunday Mass

If at all possible, assuming the Priest can make it to the church, regularly scheduled Mass will take place as scheduled.

Please Note: The upper parking lot between the church and the school is supposed to be plowed first. When attending mass during snow, please park on the upper lot first, so that the rest of the parking lot can be plowed effectively.

Daily Mass

When Loudoun County Schools close because of inclement weather, the 6:45 a.m. Mass will be cancelled. Call the parish office recording (703-433-6770) for the status of the 8:30 a.m. Mass. If schools are delayed either 1 or 2 hours we will make every effort to have the 6:45 a.m. Mass.

Religious Education & Parish Activities

If Loudoun County Public Schools are closed for the day, close early, or cancel nighttime activities due to inclement weather (snow, ice, storm, etc.), then all parish activities including Religious Education Classes are canceled and the building is closed.

RCIA (Inquiry) Class

Father Saunders will make a determination about the RCIA class by 4:00 p.m. on the day of class and will change the message on his voice mail at the parish. Please call (703) 433-6770 and choose option 7.

Check the Cancellation Status Online

The WTOP website is generally quick to post weather-related cancellations. Look for the Closings & Delays section. As mentioned above, Our Lady of Hope follows Loudoun County Public Schools.
