Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD

The Knights of Columbus Council 12791 would like to extend an invitation to all Our Lady of Hope parishioners to join the Knights in a pilgrimage to The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD on Saturday July 12th. The National Shrine of the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes is a designated pilgrimage site during this jubilee year.

Transportation options are being look at, depending on the number of pilgrims attending. The plan is to depart OLOH Catholic church at 8 AM on July 12th and return around 4 PM.

There will be an opportunity at the Grotto for Confessions as well as attending Mass at the shrine chapel at noon. After Mass, pilgrims that have chosen to bring food will have an opportunity to eat at the picnic areas on the Grotto grounds before we depart at around 3 PM. There will be recitation of the Rosary and additional free time to allow the pilgrims to explore and feel the peace and tranquility of the Grotto and feel the presence of our Holy Mother.

Spring fed water is available so please bring a small bottle and have it filled for Father Killian to bless. For those that are interested or have questions please email gk_koc_12791@hotmail.com with your name and the number of people that will be coming with you.

For those that may drive separately and meet the group there, please send an email to gk_koc_12791@hotmail.com so we can provide the Shrine with the most accurate number of pilgrims coming. Due to the need to reserve transportation and coordinate our to with the grotto please provide a response no later than 1 July 2025.
