Principal’s Letter

April 11, 2024
Feast of St. Gemma Galgani

Dear OLOH School Community,

Over the Easter Break, I was able to reflect on my tenure at Our Lady of Hope. I have given much thought and prayer to my time with this community. We have accomplished many positive goals together, and I have grown and learned so much. However, I will not be returning to Our Lady of Hope Catholic School next academic year.

Decisions like this are not made lightly and certainly have significant effects for all involved. Therefore, I will be working to ensure the transition to a new principal is as smooth as possible and that any impact is slight. To that end, my resignation is not effective until July 1. The reasons for my coming resignation are varied. To simplify, I have discerned that the Holy Spirit is moving me to a new chapter of my life.

I have been honored to serve this school community for three years. We tackled post-pandemic concerns among other important endeavors, and I was blessed to partner with you in the education and formation of your children. OLOH students and families will forever be in my prayers.

Our Lady of Hope is a special place and has an excellent school. I am confident that under Father Killian’s leadership, in partnership with the dedicated teachers and staff, this learning community will continue to flourish.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Jeanne Canavan, Principal
