Father Anthony J. Killian, son of Anthony and Barbara Killian, grew up in Philadelphia. After graduating from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales (now De Sales University) in 1985, he continued his studies at Lehigh University, obtaining a degree in Government. He worked for the U.S. government as an Imagery Analyst for sixteen years before discerning God’s call to the priesthood. Father Killian attended Mount Saint Mary Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity and a certificate in Hispanic Ministry. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Paul Loverde on June 14, 2008, and just celebrated the 12th anniversary of his ordination.

Father Killian’s assignments as a parochial vicar include: Blessed
Sacrament in Alexandria (2008-2013); St. William of York in Stafford (2013-2016); St. John the Apostle in Leesburg (2016-2019); and he joins us after a year at St. Anthony of Padua in Falls Church. Our Lady of Hope is his first assignment as pastor, and we are excited to welcome him to our parish family!
