OCIA Classes Begin September 14

Our Lady of Hope warmly invites adults who are considering becoming Catholic and those adults who are baptized Catholic and not yet completed their sacraments of initiation to join us for OCIA.

The new OCIA class series begins Monday, September 14, and will meet from 7:00–8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

What is OCIA?

OCIA, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the Church’s process for forming non-Catholic adults in the Catholic faith and helping Baptized Catholics complete their sacraments of initiation (Holy Eucharist and Confirmation). Through weekly meetings, prayer, and participation in the associated Rites of the Church, participants grow in faith and discern their next step.

Who is OCIA for? OCIA is for adults who have never been baptized, adults baptized in another Christian tradition who wish to become Catholic, and baptized Catholics who have not yet received First Communion and/or Confirmation.
