Our Lady of Hope is not able to prepare non-parishioners for marriage, nor do our priests preside at weddings for non-parishioners.

Please contact your home parish to begin marriage preparation and make arrangements for a celebrant before requesting a wedding date at Our Lady of Hope.

Our Lady of Hope offers weddings at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, or 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, as available.

Acknowledgment of Preparation Requirements

We understand

-That a wedding date cannot be set immediately because the priest with whom we are completing our preparation must first establish that we are free to marry, understand the wedding vows, and are ready to make them, and that this information must be provided to Our Lady of Hope in writing;

-That Our Lady of Hope priests are not available for marriage preparation of non-parishioner, nor do they celebrate marriages for non-parishioners.

-That we must make arrangements for a visiting priest:

-That a visiting priest needs the permission of the pastor of Our Lady of Hope and authorization from the Commonwealth of Virginia to officiate at a valid and legal wedding.
